Lessons Iโ€™ve learned from solo travelling (so far)

#Philippines

They say that life begins at 40…. but why wait that long? โŒ›

I’m turning a year older in a couple of days and I just can’t stop thinking about what significantly changed over the years. It was a crazy roller-coaster ride to get where I am right now. Red alert: persistence works!

I never even thought a simple bisaya girl who can’t even cross the road without company because she gets so anxious about getting hit by a car would be jotting down things she learned from solo travelling.

Life really hits you differently every year. Every year you indeed get wiser, smarter, and stubborn? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Here are some things I’ve learned from solo travelling….so far:

1. In this life, there will be days to give your all and pursue the dream, and there will also be days to slow down and allow yourself to just be yourself.

2. The world is not as scary as you think.

3. You will have more than one soul mate in this life.

4. What you seek is seeking you.

5. There is nothing to hurry about.

6. We tell ourselves so many stories of making room for beautiful memories, that we forget that weโ€™re currently living one of the things we prayed so dearly a long time ago. Have gratitude.

7. Go beyond lifeโ€™s expectations.

8. Everything is figureoutable

9. Loneliness comes at me when I travel fast. Slowing down allowed me to connect.

10. Empty your cup and you’ll realise there’s so much out there.

11. You can work and travel. Yes, I said it. (Wondering how I do it? Everything in here)

12. You create new friendships from anywhere in the world!

13. I get cold feet a day before my travel date lol. It’s normal!

14. Love your own company. Figure out what she/he’s like, wants, needs, personality, and attitude. Come home to yourself ๐ŸŒธ

15. Solo travelling helped me appreciate the finer things in life and become more patient. Be in love with the world! ๐ŸŒ

There you go! This blog isn’t just about pushing you to travel the world, but also for you to realise that life is beautiful if we only put courage into doing anything that we truly want to pursue. You’ll eventually get there.

There are so many things that I want to share about my travels, tips and mistakes that I would love you guys to avoid but that’s for another blog. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you on the next one! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ll travel to El Nido next week, see you there? โ˜€๏ธ
