Here’s a thing
Bukidnon has been known for a lot of reasons. Falls, rivers, farms, mountain views, great heights, road trips.
Above many things, you know what keeps people coming back?
Their love for Art.
Everything in here is made out of Art.
It may be the good view, amazing land formations down to its people.
Yaka is art. No chairs, just good food, and funky music.
*This is one of my pre-birthday trips*
Yaka is a Bisayan term for “sitting”
Yaka was originally founded by a couple who just gotten married. It started as a temporary booth on the capitol grounds of Malaybalay City during the Kaamulan Festive long-month celebration. It was new back then; the vibe, food, and culture- everything was presented, and it’s what the locals are looking for. It has gained fans from all over the Philippines and from the State too!
The self-made restau has paved its name into the food & art industry!
They offer authentic burgers, steak, chicken sauté, freshly picked fruit & vegetable juice, and of course beer! paired with a live band singing their hearts out while you’re being served great food just sitting comfortably. Wear less make-up, wear comfy clothes, leave your slippers at the entrance, and sit on the furnished bamboo floor. No judgment. Feel like a million-dollar tourist!
Probably all you need to do is to make sure you get good photos while you stay there! Here’s few of Nolie’s snap!

We went falls hunting earlier this day–got hungry–searched for a place to chill–we found Yaka!

Absolute perfection.
They open from around 3 pm until midnight! Let me know if you have visited Yaka for the first time or just a local tourist coming back!
