A life + travel visual diary

I currently work at a BPO company, and I must admit that this job is often not regarded as important as other roles in our country.

I have been working at this BPO company for two years now, and I can tell you that it’s not an easy job. Aside from absorbing other people’s emotions, I’ve also developed some serious dark circles under my eyes. Deep down, I know this isn’t my true calling.

I figured this out roughly a year into the industry. I did get the promotion I was aiming for, but something in me says I don’t feel inspired.

I remember from a book I recently read, blogger Kryz Uy said “At the end of the day, when the 💩 hits the fan, can you wake up the next morning grinning, ready, willing, able to fight, and determined to win?”, and that hit me hard. I can’t wait till my rest day comes, my job is not making me feel anything anymore. But come on, who am I to say all this, I don’t have a choice but to keep coming to work because I need that paycheck.

Any path we choose to venture, there will be challenges. That’s just it. It’s a funny way of life reminding you to choose what your heart wants. If you can do it all day, if it makes your heart pound, and complain how hard it gets, how tired you are, yet you wake up the next day ready to try again? Go ahead and grab that dream and hold on to that- these are the ones that keep us feeling alive when the world gets a little cold.

Everybody needs something to be passionate about. Some people chose to follow the love of their lives, some dedicated their lives to being full-time moms, and some chose to give a bunch of cats a cozy home, meanwhile, I chose to blog.
