Doing groceries is therapeutic, living alone diaries.
“Sometimes, you need to get broken to know that there is something to fix.”

I have loved grocery shopping with my mama ever since I was little. Now that I’m older, I figured this has stayed inside me for a very long time that every time I feel sad and off I’d do groceries.

I did not know how much it helped me cope with my anxiety and emotions, not until this year. I had a rough time growing up. Not because of my parents—they are the best at what they do. But because there are a lot of opportunities that were and weren’t presented to me at a very young age we need to make a lot of adjustments (financially & emotionally). It scarred me for life.

I’m 22 and I live alone. I pay my rent, electricity & water bills, groceries, personal stuff, etc. It kinda is lonely sometimes, but during this process, I’ve learned that when you do live for the smallest detail about life, that’s when you truly live.

I remember from a book I read, blogger Kryz Uy said, “Sometimes, you need to get broken to know that there is something to fix.” it made me realise that all through the hard work and messy breakdowns, it’s preparing you for the life you wish to live. That there are no mistakes, only redirections.

Dream big dreams.
